Crochet...Making Gifts and Receiving Gifts...A Calm mind, and and Open Heart.
I'm re-starting my blog this month because, in my world, both crochet and writing are a hugely important. I'm dedicated to both, and so I'm excited to be writing (a lot), about crochet.
I'll get right to the point my friends. Here's why I'm excited. I had a big aha moment! I discovered something important.
By partaking in this beloved craft, I not only make gifts for you, but I receive gifts. What I receive will surprise you.
Crochet creates Calm. Yes indeed. There's been quite a few scientific studies about this (if you're inclined to enjoy the wonderful information I discovered).
Here's why crochet produces a calming effect:
~ Crochet can help you through any times when you feel grumpy, restless, frustrated or bored.
~ Depression relief is by far the most reported and studied benefit of crocheting. The repetition of the crafts has been shown to release serotonin, a natural anti-depressant.
~ It brings the internal mind to a calmer space for when you’re coping with the anxiety of repetitious thoughts.
~ 100% of insomnia patients reported improved sleep with 90% being able to eliminate medication.

So the secret is out. Being able to share my gifts has returned to me many gifts tenfold.
With Gratitude and until next time.
I wish you a peaceful day.
